Smile Stripping Body... Chem or Blast???

Hello

I’m looking for advice on how to strip my body down to bare metal.

I have a ’72 with the original paint and rust on the roof and other areas. This is a CA car so, the rust is not too great.

I’m thinking of aircraft stripper but am also thinking of buying a media blaster. I can’t afford a pressure blaster so Siphon is my only blaster choice.

What do you recommend?

Thank you.

PS: While I have your attention, how do you get POR15 off metal?

I've heard walnut shells are good. As far as keeping it somewhat clean, I got nothing for that. The only car I've stripped I rolled on plastic and used aircraft stripper and then just threw away the plastic.

blasting is not always the best thing to do sometimes you can take away too much and eat up the body im not much of a chem man i would do it the hard way and sand it

Not to mention that you have to be careful with media blasting as warping can occur, but at the same time grinding can do the same so just have to pay attention to what your doing I guess, I would do a combination of sanding and chemical removal.

Just my 2 cents
