Stahl Wall

I have a 94 Z, 4L60E, With an ATI 10 inch converter that is hitting Stahl Wall only when it hooks well at the track,Has anybody had this happen with an OBD1 and how did they remedy it.I've been using LT-1 Edit but can't seem to get anywhere with it.Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Shaun

Do you mean it locks up only when it hooks well at the track?

Yeah when it hooks hard the converter flashes much higher than it does if it where to break the tires loose, thats why it usually only does it on a prepped track, but the computer picks up this high RPM as Trans Slippage instead of High Stall Speed. Thats what is called Stahl Wall and it throws the trans into limp mode and it won't upshift unless you lift.I'm trying to find out how to disable this feature in the computer.Thanks.

Go through the tables and make it shift on rpm instead of wheel speed ( at anything above 70 % throttle) . Also max out the rpm to enable vss diagnostics.

Seems the fix is in the constant tables (Tunercats). Set the VSS Diagnostic table rpm about 5000. It fixed mine!
