Did K&N ever make an airfilter for the 96-97 SS years?


when i picked up my car about 4 years ago i know they didnt but i heard they were gonna try to make one

anybody know?

I read that Holley makes one.

 

Paper filters are always a good choice too.

 

Any chance the SS filter is the same as the WS6 filter? IIRC the WS6 airbox (96/97) uses the same filter as a 1995 Corvette. That filter is:

17-3/8" x 10-5/8"

K&N # 33-2035

Measure your SS filter to see if it is the same.

 

the ws-6 air filter is bigger than the SS filter

im not sure what my filter measures right now but ill get it

i read here that some ppl use a jeep filter K&N 33-2018
measures:13.375 x 6.563

it works but some said its not good to use it if its nto for our application, it may not seal correctly etc...

id ratehr have teh red K&N filter than holleys blue
i wonder y K&N never made one

 

i couldn't find a K&N for ym SS but Fram makes an AirHog version, easy to find, i don't have the part numbers. my local autoshop had it for 50 bucks. alifetime cleanable filter.

i dont think K&N makes one. Fram makes one that fits, it was and AirHog filter, the same exact thing as a K&N only orange in color. my local auto store had one in stock.

an orange color would go along good with my car....

 

What I Did Is I Went In Pepboys With My Filter And Matched One Up And I Did Find One I Think It Was For Dodge Pickup Or Something It Was The Same Size And Worked Great Just Do What I Did They Usaully Carry Alot Of K&n
