spring and shock install?

what do i need to do this job?

i just read somewhere i need to rent a spring compressor is this true?

I believe you can rent a set from them... perhaps it's only at certain locations though. I was going to get a set from them when I did my spring swap but ended up buying a really nice set of heavy duty compressors from NAPA to do the job.


Try their website, I BELIEVE they have it listed as being a tool you can rent. I'm pretty sure Advance Auto sells them as well. Either way, be sure you use that compressor and that you clamp them down on the springs properly... you definately don't want those bastards to fly off under pressure.
