Speedometer trouble

The speedo works and doesnt work, seems to be intermittent. well since my last post awhile back it has been working, only a few slips. i finally got the time to put in a new vss today and took it out for a drive. at first it worked fine but then i stopped for gas and when i left it was working then about a mile down the road it dropped back to 0. then it does this jumping thing where it tries to go back to the speed im at, then falls then jumps up then falls, then goes back to zero. then itll come back up and stay at the speed im at for a lil then just drop.

can anyone help out here? where should i go from here

Did you check the wires going into the connector? My Speedo was having a similar problem. I bought a new pigtail connector for $9; I haven't installed it yet, but I'm pretty sure it should solve the problem.

Did you check to see if the connector was getting power?
