Speedometer super slow...WTH

Just got finished putting a new alarm system in.
Now the speedometer is big time slow but it does work.

I have checked fuses and connections. Looks OK.

I have one wire black/whit & brown) off under the dash but I dont see where it plugs into anything:

Maybe it has somthing to do with this wire.

Anyone have any ideas.
Thanks

I believe they all have that plug hanging down below. Some guy just posted about that a week or so ago asking what its for. My car has it down there too just laying loose.

Yeah that was me who posted a week ago. I am confident it doesn't plug into anything. I looked hard and long, Oh my back.

Anyway I found the problem with the speedo, the needle was loose. I had to take the lens off and press it back on.

I cant stand it when you are working on something and and something else totally unrelated wants to go nuts. Kind of like putting air in the tires then the brakes stop working.

Oh well, if anyone knows what that wire is supposed to do other than hang there I would love to know. It does not even show up in the Haynes schematics.

Thanks
