spark pug wires

spark pug wires

i need to put a set of plug wires on my 87 iroc and need something that can withstand the heat of my headers...even if the plug wire is touching the header...i am also looking for preformance...i have an idea of what i want to buy but let me know what you would do...

If you have Headers a good set of 8mm wires with 90 deg boots and the LT1 metal boot covers are what you need. Also your wires should not be touching the Headers, reroute the wires over the top.

No wires can with stand the heat of headers. Rubber and heat don't mix to well.

There are all sorts of retainers and clamps you can buy to keep them off of your headers. You may want to buy metal heat shields for each plug. My LT1 only used them on #7 & 8. Also, don't get caught up in the whole "performance" plug wire thing. Its mostly a gimick to trick ricers out of their money.
