so how much does false knock effect performance?
so ive been driving aroudn for last couple months with headers and a loudmouth - cars been running strong but would hesitate at WOT or high RPMs- wasnt bad and just figured car needed a tune up -
well i had an LT4 chip sitting around which i hadnt had a chacnce to install yet and decided to throw in today and HOLY ****- feels like a new car- thing pulls harder than i ever thought it did and no misses whatsover, even better is when i just mash the gas while driving it throws u back in the seat again..
i had no idea i was missing so much performance

Sounds like I should get my hands on some headers as soon as I can. I have an exhaust leak at my collector that sounds like crap when my car is cold. Worse yet is that everything is crossthreaded just to get it to hold together, so no repair work possible with everything as messed up as it is.
