small block install

So i'm looking to put the 383 stroker into my 94. But after I pulled the v6 I dont think the motor mounts will work, any one have prior knowledge of this engine swap ? I can make some mounts if there are none available. The motor has only 2000 miles on it and came out of my 72 Camaro that was wrecked beyond repair . I'm also looking at a 5 or 6 speed to go behind it . The motor will stay with a carb ( no FI here ) so I can remove the computer and wiring , just going with a simple race car type wiring harness but steet legal with all the lights working. Cant wait to get my weekend street cruser going .

The V6 models have a completely different K-member than the V8 models. To swap an LT1 into a V6 you have to swap K-members. Is your SBC an LT1 or a Gen 1?

If you delete the PCM, you will delete the speedometer function.

motor swap

It's an early 74 block, from a Chevelle, I had for years in the back of the garage . I built it a couple of years ago for the Camaro, but thats gone now. Will the v6 crossmember hold up the v8 if I make custom mounts? Or I can get one from the junk yard. As far the speedo I'm going to put in after market gages. A roll cage will be going this summer as well as a suspension lowering kit.

70 cuda, you may be in some serious luck. I'm done with my V6-V8 swap. and I am taking the V8 out to go into my firebird. which leaves a ton of parts you would need. I have everything from the harnesses, to the K member, suspension, gauges, PCM,... pm me if your interested.

could go with an aftermarket K member from a place like BMR. save some weight.
