Single wire O2 sensors, and A/F Gauge ?
I figure since this could apply to quite a few applications this may be the right place to post this - moderators?
Is installation on one of these the same as the 4-wire '94-up f-bodies? Just trying to ensure I'm not about to waste time installing this more flash-than-function gauge for it not to work. Thanks in advance.

An A/F ratio gauge, driven by the stock narrow-band O2 sensor, is of very limited value. When the engine is operating in closed loop, the gauge will simply swing wildy back and forth between rich and lean, confirming that the system is in closed loop, but nothing else. When you put your foot on the floot and go into power enrichment (PE) mode, the indicator will move over to "rich". Since the narrow-band sensors are not very accurate beyond stoichiometric (14.7:1), and since there are no numbers on the gauge, you will not really have any useful info. The only value would be to detect total O2 sensor failure, or a complete disaster causing an extreme/steady rich or lean condition. By the time you figured out what had happened, the damage would probably already have been done.
