Simple Charging Question

I recently had a voltage drain problem with my maro. It was hit in the front, and for a while it would drain even a new battery in a few days. Previously, before I bought the new battery, It would drain in 24 hours.

Well for a while it's been starting and doing well, but when I look at the charge guage, it's dead-even on 15 volts.

(peg between 12V and 18V)

If I don't by some miracle have a voltage drain anymore, wouldn't it be showing around 13V?

Re: Simple Charging Question

A good alternator will put out upwards of 14.5 volts. I'd be willing to bet if you put a meter on your battery while the car is running it will read just about that. Nothing wrong with that at all.

Thanks, I was hoping this was the case.
