Shift boot plastic part
Shift boot plastic part
My manual shift boot needs a plastic rectangular part that fastens the boot to the console. The part ought to cost a couple of dollars. I can't find it anywhere. Anyone know where I could get one?
You need to include the specifics of your car - year as a minimum. Why not add a "signature" with this basic info.
There's someone that make usable copies out of heavy wire. A "search" might turn up the source. Or you can get some wire and bend your own with a pair of pliers.
An alternative would be some of the junk yards that specialize in 4th Gen (guessing that's what you have) parts.

Found one on eBay
My car is a 96 Camaro 5 speed 3.8L.
I found the wire bracket on eBay for $27. Little expensive for such a simple part. I already tried to make one out of foam with marginal results.
Thanks for reply. Now can someone help with my courtesy lights.
Thanks also for having such a cool site and all the people who take part in it.
