I started to feel a vibration from my car this morning on the way to school, thought I might have thrown a wheel weight in the rear, but on my way back it was twice as bad. severe shaking under any throttle. I talked to one person about it and they said I may have thrown a driveshaft weight. any thoughts?

 

Without a little more info, it's really hard to diagnose. Could be driveshaft, could have broken a belt in a tire, etc. My 3.8 shook uncontrollably when a coil pack failed. Does it feel like it could be engine related, or does it seem to run fine other than the vibration?

 

its not engine related, and the wheels/tires are nice and stable. it only shakes under acceleration

 

u-joint?

 

any noise associated with said shaking?

U-joints usually make noise when going slow too

 

turns out the front u-joint was pretty much destroyed.
