sensor in water pump

when i go to a parts place to get the sensor in the water pump on a 97 Z28 what would be the right name of sensor to ask for.THANKS

From Shoebox's web site ac delco #PT1623 or GM #88987183 ECT sensor in water pump for PCM.Is this the one?

You gave him the information for the pigtail-not the sensor.

Engine coolant temperature sensor.

Whoops.Ok .Mine is part #213-928 ac delco.Gm #15326386.1993 here.Sorry for the confusion.Hope this helps.

Question for you guys, I have to change the sensor on the water pump will that much coolant come out that I have to bleed the system after the install?

I would lower the level in the radiator lower than the sensor level and then change it. It is not that big of a deal to do, and not worth the risk of getting the Optispark wet.

Bleeding the system is not hard to do either. Go to http://shbox.com/1/4th_gen_tech2.html#radflush for procedure if you aren't familiar with how to do it.
