Here lately every once in a while the security light will come on while I am driving down the road. After a few minutes it will go back out. This morning it came on and stayed on before starting the car and the car wouldnt start. After a few minutes of waiting the light went out and I was able to start up and drive normally. Does this mean something is wrong with the pellet or is the the system going out and I need to do the resistor mod or something worse like the module is going out and needs replacing?

 

You could try cleaning the key/pellet and see if that cures it.

 

yeah it doesnt seem to constantly happen. So I wasnt sure what exactly was going on.

 

Tried cleaning the pellet and even tried a brand new key. It seems the security light will come on and then after I wait til it goes off it will start. But every time the first time at least I can not start the car. Will doing the bypass mod take care of it doing this all the time now or is there something else wrong that the bypass mod wouldnt help?
