ok, my car will not start. The security light came on a couple of days ago while driving to work then went off. started fine the next 5 or 6 times I started it. now it will not hit, cranks, p[plenty of fuel, just won't fire. it will try to fire 1 time after it sits over night. The security light is on while trying to crank, and as bad as I hate to admit it, I have never paid attention to if it is always on when you crank these over, or if it is signifying a problem.

Sounds like a VATS issue. Start by reading shoebox's site on it:

That should point you in the right direction.

 

Also the VATS was programmed out of the PCM if that matters. Which is odd I would think I would even see a security light.

 

if its a VATS issue wouldn't the car not turn over at all? my car has not started a couple times and the security light was on, but the car would not do anything (as if I wern't pushing in the clutch). i can't find my second ignition key either, but it has only not started a couple times.

 

Yeah, I misread it. VATS would not let it crank over at all....hmmm...

You said there is fuel so I would check for spark next.
