security

hey whuts up guys i got in my car today and the security light came on then after a while it turned off....then later in the day i was driving and it came on then went off again..is that a sign of a bad key or what?...thanks to all that answer

Could be the key or a bad/dirty key clyinder or failing connection from the key cylinder (which is common).

so what can i do to fix it...im gonna clean the key but any other tips i could do to stop this

If it is a problem with the key cylinder or it's wiring, you replace the key cylinder (assuming you want to keep the VATS functioning).

well i almost the same thing trust me its a common problem the key cylinder there r 2 lil white wires in there and they break like shoebox said its a common problem.

Will it start when that light comes on? Sounds like the car starts but if it doesnt, refer to blk96z07 security light posting.
