Seatbelt Part Question

Does anyone know what the official name of the part that is located on the seatbelt thats a large round plastic piece that stops the buckle from sliding all the way down to the floor?

I have noticed on my convertible and others that this piece is often missing or broken. Is it a replaceable part? Does anyone have the GM part number for one in neutral?

I don't know the name of it but I would bet a lot of money that it is not a replaceable part. They don't want people fooling with seat belts at all. It is probably a plastic covered rivet or something.

Are you talking about the seat belt guide that bolts to the shoulder area of the seat? If so, oddly enough, I actually have a spare one, in Neutral, for the driver's side seat belt! It's never been installed on a car, been sitting in my kitchen drawer for three years.

The plastic gets brittle in the sunlight and ages, and eventually cracks. When my original seat belt guide cracked, I bought two replacements. But the first replacement is holding up fine. (I guess they only crack once every 10 years.)

$15 by PayPal to 7-13lawyer@comcast.net and the spare is yours.

I am betting he is talking about the round button in the seat belt that keeps the buckle from traveling to the floor. That is not a replaceable part. In order to get a new one, you have to buy a new seatbelt.

Do you still have this part? If so, I am willing to purchase it on your terms of $15/paypal. Thanks.
