Seat repair

I need some pics or something of the driver's front seat internals and/or frame. I hit a pole going backwards and the force of myself back into the seat sortof warped it. The inside edge of the back of the seat sits back farther than the outside edge. Just completed repairing the rear end, don't want to spend anymore $ than I have to.

I bought a set of seats from a wrecked 97 and had the same problem. Had to disasemble the seat, remove the back cover and padding, and straighten the seat frame.

Nice to hear it's doable, at least in some instances. Did you have any trouble getting the cover back on?

Hey Trace, that leather looks nice. Do you have a link to CST? I am looking to do my interior in leather.

How the heck do I get the fold-up release tab off the back of the seat? There's a little hole in the side of it but I can't figure it out.

If I'm going to bend the back frame back into place, should I take the entire seat out of the car or attempt to just take the back cover off and do it in the car?

I'd do it in the car with the seat bolted down. You'll have better leverage that way.

Any insight on this blasted release tab? I don't want to break it... but it doesn't want to come off.

No. It was a bit of a pain to straighten it out. Ended up running over it with my truck.

Well I took the cover off, got comfortable in the back seat with my trusty 2x4, ran it through the opening up towards the headrest area, twisted and poof. All is good.
