$100 lid

$100 for a cutout and having it installed

then i'd say some suspension stuff to get the power to the ground...or good tires

I'd agree with the lid, but next I'd get some good drag radials... Best mod I ever did...

Since when did it cost ~$70 to weld in a cutout. I guess it pays big time to do all of your own work. Even a stainless cutout only cost about $40.

round figures boss...round figures...

and drag radials are great...unless you need to drive the car every day...highway..rain...snow...

hence the "good tires" comment...which means whatever is best suited for his driving situation

Yeah, i have no idea what they are chargeing these days, but that seems a little excesive for a little cutting and welding..

You can get good cheap hp with free mods, an intake, a cutout, and some better tires so you can get that hp to the ground.

Some shops charge a minimum of 1 hour. Most shops have a labor rate of 70-80 dollars per hour so it could easily cost that much to weld in a cutout depending on where you go.

Or you can save up some more and yet a nice set of headers and y-pipe, that will add a sizable amount of power.

A cutout wouldn't really do you any good since you already have a free flowing loudmouth. I would either find a set of used longtube headers and and off road y-pipe (ORY) or save up a little more for some new ones. You can get uncoated longtubes and an ORY for about $415 new and coated is about $150 more.

That should be about a 10-15 rwhp increase.
