Sealant on AN fittings?...

Hey guys,
Am I susposed to use some sort of sealant on the threads of an AN fitting? I installed a fuel pressure gauge this week and I just noticed that one of the fittings is leaking. I tightened it as tight as I thought I could without stripping it.

Thanks,
Mark B

AN fittings don't need sealant. Are you sure it's AN and not pipe?

Theres your problem. Youre only supposed to tighten those from 1/4 - 1/2 a turn past finger tight.

Ahh... The threads on the fuel lines were AN fittings... The sending unit was NPT. A little thread sealer and no more leak.

Thanks everyone
