seafoamed the t/b

well, i had the intake setup off my 92 to clean the filter so i decided to test out seafoam on my z28 before the rs
well, i sprayed it down really good (1/2 can as stated) - this was deep creep btw
i then started and for just spraying it down the t/b, it was a heck of a lot of smoke
as i gassed it up the street, my bro said i looked like joe dirt (where he has that one car and smokes while driving away)
anyways, car feels pretty good now
stopped getting that pop after letting off the gas when the engine is somewhat cold
and...i didnt destroy my O2s which is nice

anyways, i highly reccommend and for being so easy, it's just good preventive maintenance

yeah...seafoam works good. it crispened up my throttle response on my 96. i still need to do it ot my 99 soon.

it is fun to see that smoke. and it's good preventative maintenance for the car. i figure i'll do it once a year...

Re: seafoamed the t/b

How do you use it? Just spray it directly into the throttle body? and how much do you use

Re: seafoamed the t/b

aaahh there's a bunch of different ways to use it
the deep creep is different from the regular stuff
the deep creep you just warm the engine, disconnect the intake, spray a 1/4 into t/b, let sit for 10, spray another 1/4 can in, reconnect and start (probably want to drive it hard on the street keeping the revs high, that's what i do to make sure it all gets out)

the regular stuff, goes through a vacuum line and here's a link to explain it to you here
http://members.nuvox.net/~on.roz/cars/z28/seafoam.html

if you go to their site, they tell where they sell it
and like kataklysm said, 5-10 bucks a can
was 6 around here last time i checked

1 last note- if you're replacing O2 sensors or spark plugs, do it AFTER this
some say it can mess them up, hasn't happened to me yet though
good luck
