screen mesh for oil filter?

screen mesh for oil filter?

i asked auto zone and they said they don't carry any type of oil filter top cover that is made out of wire mesh to trap stuff from going into the oil filter. where can i get one at?

the springs i installed in my heads will give off alittle shaving till they are worked in. i have a magnetic drain plug but just want to be even more ****.

might be able to put a speaker magnet or something on the bottom or side of the oil pan, probably would work even better.

Check out the Filter-Mag. That's the company name, I believe. It's a powerful magnet you strap onto the side of your oil filter, actually it stays on there itself.....look it up on google

it would on an LT1

not sure about the LS1 though, i *believe* the oil pan is aluminum?

wow anywhere from $30-$70 bucks thats way to much for a magnet...

Look in your JEG's or Summit catalog. JEG's has a Moroso screen for $15 and an Engine Check screen for $10.

Im trying to figure that out too? Why not put a finegrain mesh on the oil pump?
