running lights

running lights

how do i disconnect the day time running lights feature on my camaro?
in other words "i want to manually turn on my lights..." i know the sensor is on the windshield, how do i turn it off?

Well on an LS1 which I think may be set up the same for yours, the box is behind the radio. It's the size of a box of cigs, and its black. Here ya go:

that's funny...i was thinking i wanted to add it to my '96. i like the look coming up the road with them on all the time...

I think thats the best mod i've done to my camaro, daytime running lights is the worst idea ever, if you can't see a car during daylight hours you shouldn't be on the road.

ahaha agree 100% I just disconnect the whole harness from the black box. So I have no DRL's no auto lights on, and the brake light in the cluster doesn't come on when the brake is engaged....big deal. But unlike the write up says, my hatch release works great.
