Reuse paper air filter?

Can you clean a paper air filter, or do you need to buy a new one? I have a K&N right now but I was looking to go back to paper and i noticed my paper one is dirty.

you can only clean a K&N filter(or one similiar). Paper filters can only be replaced.

curious why you are changing back to paper? i know som guys claim a lose ofpower from the K&Ns..is that why?
