Replacing stock shifter ****

I have an 6pd manual in my 95 Z28 and I was wondering how to get the stock **** off to put on a cool new one I got??

They Twist off, its just threaded. May help to use a small strap wrench to break it free. Somthing to get a good grip on the ****.

i got mine off.. hurt the p*ss out of my wrist, but it finnaly came off lol....

It is a leather one and it seems kinda loose on the top. I haven't tried twisting it much yet. I got mine from thunderracing, black metal with Z28 in white on the top.

thats what i did... still hurt wrist... no biggie though.. few mins later, was fine lol
