Replacing fuel filter on LS1
Replacing fuel filter on LS1
Could someone tell me more about how to replace the fuel filter on my 98 TA? Exactly where is the filter located, and how do I disarm the system to replace it? Is there anything else I need to know? This is my first time replacing one......
Re: Replacing fuel filter on LS1
The fuel filter is located on the underside of the car by the rear driver side tire.
Remove the fuel gas cap. Get lots of raggs. Remove the bolt holding the gas line -removing this bolt will lessen the pressure put on the plastic gas line when removing it from the fuel filter- and remove the filter. Once you remove the filter some gas will still pour out then it will stop and you can then put on the new filter, be carfull when taking off the filter you don't want gas in your eyes. Its not to technical at all.

Re: Replacing fuel filter on LS1
Since the filter is the same as used on the LT1 cars, replacement should be the same. The schrader valve location will be different.

If you want to get rid of the fuel in the lines, pull the fuel pump relay in the underhood box, crank the engine for a few moments, then the fuel is gone.
No fuel spills.
