Replaced Radiator Now No Heat??

Radiator tank had a split on my son`s 96 Z so we replaced it. After the switch and purging the system several times he still has no heat is there something we missed something we did that caused this? Temp guage reads normal at a steady temp no up or down eradic readings. Anyone help us out? Thanks.

had the same problem, your gonna have to flush the heater core, when draining out the coolant, it got cloged up with crud. Drain the system, get a hose and flush out the heater core from the two heater hoses. Do it like everyone will tell you, from both ways. Id tried the lazy way, only from one direction( threw one hose) and it worked for about a week and it then got cloged up agian. So i had to do the process all over. But before you even do this, burp the system, dont just bleed it. That also was the answer to my no heat question in the big mess i went threw.

Back flush your heater core! I had to do it to my 99 Blazer after the waterpump went out. Common problem if you run Dexcool antifreeze.
