repeat bulb burnout

The original front turn signal bulb burned out on my 2002 Camaro. I replaced it, 2 days later it's apparently burned out again. What's up?

Re: repeat bulb burnout

It's being shorted or burnt out by to much voltage. Take the bulb out and check the voltage with a digital multi meter.

Re: repeat bulb burnout

well, he can't have more voltage at the bulb then battery/charging system voltage, so, as long as hes charging ok, thats not it,

Re: repeat bulb burnout

As another possibility (if you haven't already) try using dielectric grease on the bulb, and alot of it. I had a similar problem with a brake light, and I haven't had to replace it in several years. Just an additional thought.
