removing wiper arms.. on 99 camaro

i am installing a 3 point strut tower brace and i need to remove the wiper arms to remove the plastic cover over the windshield. i removed the pastic cover and removed the nut that holds the arm on... and the wiper are does not move freely. is there a special tool to release the wiper are from the stud? i dont want to break something while removing the wiper arm.

they do make a puller, but any way that you can pry up on the base of the arm by aplying pressure to the stud (not windshield obviously) will pop em off

I used a heavy duty battery terminal puller on mine. I thought they were never gonna come off.
