I am getting prepared to remove my engine this week and have never gone out the bottom with it. What is the best way to go about this procedure. I have a cherry picker, jack stands, tranny jack etc. If I had a car lift this would be cake, but I have to jack the S**T out of the front to clear the complete k-member/engine assembly. Any tips or tricks would be appreciated.

 

do a search, there is an online guide floating around here, thats what i used. I had a huge truck transmission jack that was big enough it held the whole k-member with the motor and tranny on it. I then put the car on jack stands and unhooked everything. I then lowered down the k-member as far as it would go, then used a cherry picker to lift the body up and off the rest of the way.
