Remove spare tire and jack?
I think you'll probably be alright. Are you just removing it for the track or are you planning to remove it altogether? Keep in mind the first time you head out for a drive without the combo your gonna get a flat.
Always seems to happen.

You might as well take it out if you are just driving locally or in populated areas. Just make sure you put it back in if you are going on a trip or a long distance.
I would believe 37lbs, the jack isn't much but the tire has some girth to it. 37lbs is a decent amount of wieght to loose, not a lot though but a start. It could have made a difference in my quarter mile time (check sig). Hell, if I took a **** first it would have made a difference.

I suggest that if you take out the spare and jack that you at least look into the airlift air bag..
I used to run one in my right rear spring.. I set it to about 21psi.
That helped tons in my 1995 Z..
I am keeping my current car stock so I havent placed the airbag in it yet but once I start modding, I will for sure..
