Did 93-97 firebirds ever come with red leather seats? If so, I would LOVE to get a set of front and back seats and door panels for my Z.

Yep the seats are diff. I need Graphite TA seat covers to replace the covers on my TA seats. i saw that leatherseats.com had Firebird seats on clearance. I talked to them and asked them if they were the same and they told me no. The firebirds i think don't have the plastic on the back and they also i don't think have the Rubber webs on the side and maybe a few other things. The guy told me "unfortunately they are completely different." I hope they would know as they have to build covers to fit peoples seats.

 

Maybe the Formula seats are different too, cause I've got the plastic on the back.

edit: after looking at the above linked pics, my seats are different than those. I don't have the plastic on the back of the headrests, but I think I do have some of that 'cladding' on the side bolsters, etc.

 

The red leather interior I believe was a 95 only option, and is rather rare by todays standards.

Looks KILLER on a white T/A.

 

I have the red leather in my 96 ws6 and I love the look. I will check to see if I have any pics.

I made a thread about red leather seats from the factory this summer and almost everyone told me i was crazy and that it never was an option...where were you guys??


Sharpe you live in lawrenceville?! I live just south of you about 15 minutes out by Allendale, unless there is a different lawrenceville IL. Its pretty cool to see some one from so close
