hey guys..whats up, i just have a quick question about the back hatch (i have a 95 z28). Anyway i had the squeaking problem but i fixed that with tightening up the spare tire. but now whenever i go over bumps i hear this loud banging noise and i think my hatch might not latch down tight enough. Whenever i try and open it after it makes the noise it is still latched enough to hold it and you have to unlock it to open it. I was just wondering if anyone else has the problem with their latch not closing all the way it makes some noises when you hit bumps?

I had the same thing going on at one point. Turns out I didnt have the spare pushed all the way into its place. Not saying you have the same issue but its worth checking out.

 

I had a loud banging coming from the back. It was the rear exhaust hangers.
