rear battery wiring

how should i wire a rear battery?
i tried just wiring it up to the old battery connections uner the hood but it hesitates to crank. should i wire it directly to the starter?

i have to say if you are unsure of exactly how to mount a battery in the rear and wire it up, by NO means should you "just try wiring up connections". do some research or talk to somebody who knows exactly what you want to do and can help. good luck.

its the started relay making it do that....

I took mine off and use a ford solenoid.......but don't loop the hot wire on the starter b/c the starter will hang. Use the small wire from the other side of the solenoid and run that to the starter.

I did that ford solenoid and then used a pc. of 6ga. to the distribution block on the fenderwell.
