radiator overflow tank question

I have a question about the radiator overflow tank. On the
LT 1 Z28's where is the dump for the overflow tank ?

I got concerned because I saw a coolant deposit under my
'96 Z28, about in the middle of the car, maybe 2 feet from
the tip of the nose. I am really paranoid about coolant
leaks 'cause it's what killed my original LT 1 and the replacement
waterpump with the rebuilt engine started to leak out of
the weap hole and was replaced. The dipstick on the tank
is up to the " Full Hot " mark, although the vehicle is cold.

Thoughts, advice ?

If it's in the approximate middle, I'd crawl under the car and see if any hoses are leaking, and if the clamps are tight.

You are correct, I need to do a visual recon of the hoses, try and
see the weep hole.

Tomorrow, I'm a lazy bastard and already checked the tank level.

If the overflow tank is filling up, check the radiator cap, and the hose that runs from the radiator neck to the overflow tank. If that rubber hose has a leak in it, the coolant will flow out of the radiator into the overflow tank as the coolant heats up, but when the radiator cools down, the hole in the rubber hose will let air into the radiator, rather than coolant from the overflow tank.

Ok, took a look under the car looking for loose hose connections.
Nothing was very loose. But I did notice some red/orange drops
forming on the anti sway bar, the front of the motor a little damp.
Found the weep hole on the water pump, it too was kinda red/orange
stained and kinda damp.
[edit]. The engine came with a pump, it developed a slow
leak and was replaced. Now this one has too. Even with only a
one year warranty it is still covered, but man. I was building the
car recovering from a motorcycle accident and spent way too
much money and even though it runs pretty freakin' hard I feel
like I can't trust it. Amother person with $15,000 in a car
I can sell for maybe $ 6,000.
It is a '96 Z28, auto trans, interior and exterior are'nt perfect
but a clean driver.
Thanks for letting me vent. The best of times, the worst of times.
