Could be a BCM problem.

door pin? bcm? elaborate please!!! I'm new to newer car technology. I'm mostly a Mustang man. This is my first 4th gen. I'm familiar with 3rd gens. How much does a BCM cost? What about the door pin thing? Is this fairly easy to change? I can change clutches, rebuild engines. I just don't do much rewiring. I suck at wiring. Thanks guys.

does your dome light work correctly? when you open either door individualy, does it turn on? If the car thinks the door is open all the time it tells the RAP not to operate. Sometimes with aftermarket alarms/keyless the easier way that they are wired into the dome light circuit causes the RAP to stay off.

I do have an aftermarket security system. Maybe that's the problem. I want it removed anyway. I have the factory security system in it already. Why would someone put another one in?

they usualy have longer range and are more sensitive with more options if they are installed correctly and working correctly. If that is the only problem with it, you could just disconect the domelight supervision wire on the alarm
