quick question

just wondering if having m cool air intake filter being exposed with the black plastic that usually surrounds it taken out and only the end of the air dam in front of it will do anything for a ram-air effect or if it is pointless? thanks for any input but now that i think of it i feel like when it rains it will get wet

Mine is like that. It was like it when I got it so I dont know how to compare it.
Havent had any problems in the rain though.

I really doubt it would be noticeable, or help at all. Those filters flow pretty well how they are.
