Quick question??

This may sound like a really dumd question, but since I've never done this in the past I want to make sure I get it right. I'm trying to flush my heater core, but I don't know where to begin. Do I unplug the hose on the water pump side and stick the hose & fitting there or do I flush from the back of the engine towards the front?? I found this diagram that my help you help me.
thanks in advance.

Re: Quick question??

If you are just flushing the heater core unplug the input and output hoses on the firewall and go from there.

Re: Quick question??

The way I've always done it is to unhook both feed and return lines, then hook a hose to the return line and back flush it. Dont know if this is any better or worse, but someone told me to do it this way 25-30 years ago. Hope this helps.
See ya.
