My G/F happily broke the storage compartment lid on my center console for my 94 A4 Z/28. It broke off at the hinge. I am getting a bit annoyed when I open it and the lid flips off and falls into the back seat. The car has black interior color. I am not sure if this peice is removable by itself or I need the whole center part from the dash back. The black strips around my E-brake are also losing their grip any help on that would also be nice. If anyone has insight or the part let me know. I can get pics if necessary. Thanks guys.

Thiefes broke into my car and tore up mine too... I fixed it with lots of crazy glue and black spray paint.

You cant tell it got tore up completely. It looks like its brand new.

if you are bent into replacing the whole thing then I would recomend to
check that page with part numbers from Shoebox... he has the console part numbers .... then you go to Gmpartsdirect.com and check for the price on it.... if available then place it in your shopping cart and pay attention to the s/h handling fee.... Their parts prices are cheap but the delivery charges...... well you can figure it out.

Hahaha....i Broke That Center Console Lid Too...well My Girlfriend Broken With Her Knee When We Were...anyways....it Broke The Hinges Off So I Think I Am Going To Go To Some Junk Yard And See If I Find Any 94's Z's In There So I Can Remove And Replace Just Those
Parts. If Not...ill Stay With It For A While Cuz Its Gonna Happen Again!.......

 

Thanks guys, I'll have to inspect it closer to see if crazy glue will do the trick, and about GMpartdirect, their shipping is a joke, when I bought a LT4 KM from them the shipping was well into the double digits for that little KM. What a bunch of crap.

As for breaking stuff with your G/F, yes I understand how you broke yours, I have a few lamps / picture frames / and a part of a bed under my belt

Most of the time it is the hinge plastic on the lid that breaks. I would inspect it and see which part broke... on the lid or on the console. If it's on the lid, you can buy a new lid of just the inner plastic piece that has the hinge in it.

 

Thanks Madwolf, I am going to have to look at it closer, it got broke at 630am after my long Hella FF75 install and I just kinda looked at it dumbfounded and dazed and moved on to getting the lights finished up.

If it is the lid part broken where the metal pin goes through, I replaced the lid on my Z 2 years ago, the lid part # is 16754487. As far as the rubber around the parking brake handle, I just glued it back in place with super glue.
