Question about a cam?

Ok I bought a cam from a 96 Trans Am for my 94. I need to know if I need to grind off the dowels a little from that cam since I don't have the vented opti setup. Or is that even necessary? Should I just do the whole conversion to the vented style?

Re: Question about a cam?

Vented optis have a lower failure rate since the moisture doesn't get trapped inside. The conversion would be worth it, unless you want to go all out and convert to the coil pack set up.

Re: Question about a cam?

I went the opposite way and sealed my opti up completely, no problems.

Likewise, I sealed up mine as well.
