Hello everyone, new member and this is my first post.

I am looking into a 1994 Camaro Base Hatchback that is being sold from a dealer. The car is going for $1900 and has 113,003 miles.

From what I've seen from lurking, the sell price should be abit higher. I was wondering what I should look into when I see the car, From the photos it doesn't look like its been beaten too hard, although I won't be able to tell about the engine until I start her up.

Anything to listen for, or look for on the body? I plan to ask to see if a mechanic can come look at the car as well, but was wondering if any of you had tips as well.

I reached out to the dealer to get a Carfax and all that. Might try to see the car this weekend coming up. I certainly hope the car doesn't have any outstanding issues.

Mike, from your experience, how is owning a 1994 for maintenance and all that?

When I get to see the car in person, i'll definitely reply.

 

i hope you realize, that car has the 3.4 engine instead of the 3.8 which the ad lists right? its a difference of about 40 horse

 

Yeah i'm aware. I never take the ads for face value. I ran the VIN already, but still want the dealer to furnish a Carfax (because well he should) as I ran mine through Autocheck. But its these things which I make a note of then bring up when i'm negotiating.
