94 LT1 was losing a lot of coolant but couldn't see any leaks, about 2-3 qts a week, rad would run dry in a week. didn't do anything just added water for past month until it was all clear (no green).

Now it stopped by itself, just stopped using coolant. drained the rad and put a gallon of Prestone extended. still not losing. i know i'm happy but wondering if any of you have seen this before, and still worrying it will happen again.

 

Water pumps are common leakers on LT1's... it may have leaked so long the weep hole became clogged. Try inspecting the bottom of the water pump for any residue.
