Question Pulley/Power Steering Pump Problem

2000 Camaro Z28 A4 20,000miles

Recently I threw the serpentine belt off my car. Apparently there was a bolt missing on the pulley directly in front of the power steering reservoir, which resulted in the pulley coming off and all the fluid draining from the power steering pump, frying it.

I had the power steering pump replace and put the belt back on myself(before pump was replaced). Well, I've been out of town, an upon getting back I've discovered that the bolt on that loose pulley was not replaced, there is still no bolt there.

Does anyone know where I can pick one up, know the part number, or have any reccomendations as to how safe it is to drive to my dealer to have the bolt replaced? The last thing I want to do is throw the belt again and have to get another new powere steering pump.

Thanks for any help

HG

Re: Pulley/Power Steering Pump Problem

as to part number..try shoebox. as to driving it....well, you said it the belt came off before because of the same problem...so its pretty much up to you. whether or not you want to chance throwing the belt off again. it might be fine, but it might not. you wont know unless you drive it..
