Everyday I start up my 95 Z and it will rev to about 1500 then down to 500 and if it doesnt stall it will rev and drop about 2 or 3 more times before running fine. I replaced the fuel filter, and tried running different grades of fuel with no change. Any suggestions?

mine does the same thing sometimes. when i start it up, rpms goto 1200 or so, and then eventually drop to about 600-700. doesnt do it all the time. ive also replaced the fuel filter, and i know i need a new fuel pump cuz sometimes it wont start right away..but if i turn the key to on, and then off and back on again, when i start it then it starts just fine. if you find out whats going on with the rpms, let me know. im stumped.
