Pro 5.0 Guys w/T56: INSIDE PLEASE

On the shifter stick, the 2 bolts that hold the stick on, Mine keep viberating loose and the stick starts wobbling...

Have anyone of you had this same problem?

What can I do to fix it?

Can I simply locktite these 2 bolts with the shifter still installed ??

Thanks

You don't need to use Loctite but some guys do. I just crank 'em down good and tight.

Same thing happened to me a few months ago. Used some threadlock and no problems since.

Cool,

Thanks for the fast reply's guys ....

Is it OK to tighten these 2 bolts down with the shifter installed?

I'm gonna have to get some locktite later... What do you suggest?

This is the 4th time these bolts loosen'd on me.... I dont want to do it no more, so this locktite should be strong, lol...

Ahh the love of these cars...

I just bolted my bolts down really tight and I haven't had any problems. If you're going to use Lock-Tite...get it in medium strength (blue).

I'm gonna try the lock-tite tommorow and I'm sure that'll fix the problem.

Thank you guys for the advice !!!

Mine did that a few times during the first couple of months i had it. Then one day i got pissed off and torqued the **** out of the bolts and it has held fine for the last 9 months or so. No locktite, just torque. Come on boy, put some elbow grease into it

Do you have the lock washers on the bolts? If not, add some lockwashers.

I don't loctite mine, I just use the lockwashers, and mine never come loose.
