Power Steering Trouble-----help!

Hello, I have a '93 Camaro Z/28 with the LT1. When I bought the car, it was leaking power steering fluid. The leak progressively got worse over a few months, to the point where it would practically drain out steadily. Well, I decided to buy a re-build kit for the pump. I replaced all the necessary seals, and reassembled it correctly (to the best of my knowledge). When I started the car the power steering didn't work at all. I heard that the system needed to be bled, so I looked up instructions on the Internet. They said to simply raise the front of the car and turn the wheels back and forth. That supposedly bled the system. I have tried this repeatedly, with no result. I don't even here the pump working, squealing or any noise at all. The car has sat in this condition over the winter, and now I am ready to fix it. If anyone has any tips for me I would really appreciate it. Thanks. Jason

You could check to see if the pump is working by taking the return line off the reservoir and seeing if fluid is coming out while the engine is running...
You DID refill the fluid didn't you?

you have to turn the wheel left and right with the pump running

and it should work without being bleed, just not very well
