power steering question

does the power rack need fluid to survive?

the meaning is if i run a delete pully and take off pump and resivior can i plug the lines?

and if so do i keep fluid in there and seal it or leave it open without fluid?

Re: power steering question

If you leave fluid in it, you dont want to cap the fittings off. Everytime you went to turn you would be trying to compress the fluid and make it very hard to turn. I have heard of people draining them before. I would suggest looping the lines together. This way you leave the fluid to keep everything lubed and it allows the fluid to flow from side to side when you turn. I am doing this mod this winter and will be looping my lines.
