power steering question...

i have a 1981 camaro with power steering. would it hurt the gear box if i unpluged the lines and took off the power steering pump and ran it as a manual gear box???

You would need to cap the ports for the lines or route them to one another. As long as it was sealed up, it would probably work, just hard to steer.
