just out of curiosity can you use ATF fluid in the power steering reservoir or do you have to use Gm power steering fluid????

I just have some ATF fluid lying around and i dont feel like getting back out to get some power steering fluid. A friend of mine told me that you could use it, cause he has used it on his wrx, and other cars he has worked on.

anyways, will it work???

Not sure if a F-Body can use ATF fluid, my Toyota does. I run Valvoline Synpower Powering Steering fluid in mine.

 

thanks, i just went a bought PS fluid..............it was only 3 dollars anyways.......lol
